The city of Davenport appeared clean when I visited . There is a variety of fast food restaurants, gas stations, and food stores , shopping malls, etc. There was a lot of traffic which added extra time onto every trip but, I was on vacation time so it was ok.

September 2011, was our many times staying at Home Suites. The hotel is being renovated and is even more appealing to us. The Home Suites has the largest pool we have seen at any hotel. The staff as always was refreshingly kind and helpful with out exception. We stay weekly and the price and value just can not be beaten. When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more.
It's close to Disney World which is great for people who want to save on their hotel stay but be conveniently located. Stayover housekeeping service is available upon request during your stay. Simply contact the front desk at any time to request extra towels and amenities or to schedule a room cleaning. I could see the extra effort in maintaining the facility. It's a bedroom community of Orlando, on the highway with... The rooms need to be updated, Toilets so old they had to place a plunger next to it. Burnt extension cord to keep the AC working. No place to plug in Phone charger or Laptop.
